How to Zojirushi Rice Cooker Make Chicken Rice

Gather your ingredients listed above. Rinse the three pounds of chicken off and pat dry.Set your zojirushi rice cooker to low heat for six to eight hours if you have a timer on it.

Pour the rice, soup, and water in the zojirushi rice cooker and mix well.Place the chicken into a roasting bag with the dry onion soup mix. Shake the bag so that the mixture coats all of the chicken.

Poke four to six holes into the bottom of the bag. Fold the top of the bag over and set the bag on top of the rice mixture in the zojirushi rice cooker. Allow the chicken to become tender and the rice to cook until it is done. The rice will become mushy if it is overcooked.

What a Truly Excellent zojirushi rice cooker !

Really thought long and hard before spending the money for this zojirushi rice cooker , but we are SO-O-O glad we did! We’ve had it for a few weeks, used it usually twice a day, trying almost every function and several types of rice and steel-cut oats.

Perfect results every time! The only negatives we can think of are, the directions that came with it are less than clear (wish they had included more recipes, too) and we’re not too keen on the idea of the soldered in battery going dead long before the unit does.

However, we would buy this zojirushi rice cooker exact same model again without question! This is so easy to use , produces perfect results (even if you’re not quite sure what you’re doing) and couldn’t be easier to clean. Every part and feature is so exceptionally well designed, with the exception of the above mentioned battery dilemma.

Don’t hesitate, we waited too long! Worth every penny! Will update in the future, if needed. UPDATE: Several months later, no problems, use this almost daily and STILL love this zojirushi rice cooker .

For those who can’t figure it out–Pushing the reset button turns this zojirushi rice cooker off. Took us a little while to figure this out, as directions in book are somewhat unclear. Hope this helps!

I love this zojirushi rice cooker . I have used it to make small and large batches of rice. Every batch comes out perfect; every single grain is cooked perfectly.

When the rice is done the  zojirushi 10 cup rice cooker goes into warming mode, which keeps your rice perfect and ready to serve for up to 12 hours. It has settings for white rice, brown rice, sushi rice, and others.

Don’t waste your money on cheep cookers or microwave cookers, those don’t come close to the quality of the  zojirushi 10 cup rice cooker . I could continue to say how great the rice is when cooked in this zojirushi rice cooker but really you won’t know until you try it.

It’s worth every penny. My only warning about this zojirushi rice cooker is that it is cute. It looks cute and makes cute chime melodies when it starts cooking and when it is done I also recommend you protect your  zojirushi 10 cup rice cooker with a serge protector.

How to happier with Kuhn Rikon Duromatic Pressure Cooker

Wonderful Kuhn Rikon duromatic pressure cooker sure have expensive prices but once you see them and feel them, you will find every reason to agree that they are well worth the price.

This duromatic khun rikon pressure cooker particular 2 set model is so lovely that my wife decided to get rid of most of her cookware as they both compliment each other so well. They can be used for almost everything we cook for our daily needs.

The lids are interchangeable. This kuhn rikon makes it so convenient to pressure cook veggies and lentils and then continue to use it with glass lid to make the final curry without having to transfer the cooked veggies and lentils to another cookware to make the curry. You can cook meat much faster and tastier without having to marinate for long.

The small one is so convenient if you have small babies and would like to feed them fresh boiled veggies, rice, or lentils. It saves lot of cooking time and the cook book that comes with it is wonderful. It gives you so many nice and simple receipes for everyone.

The Kuhn Rikon duromatic pressure cooker beautiful, highly polished stainless steel is very easy to clean. I have never had to use anything other than a plastic scrubbie, and the pans always clean up quickly and easily. For stubborn stains, I use the plastic scrubbie and a non-abrasive cleanser such as Bar Keeper’s Friend.

To help keep the pressure cooker in good condition and avoid the possibility of burning or scorching, I never cook with high heat. I do use high heat to bring the kuhn rikon cooker up to pressure quickly, but once the correct pressure is reached, I gradually lower the burner to the lowest possible setting I can that will still maintain pressure.

Before using these Kuhn Rikon duromatic pressure cooker the first time, it is a good idea to take them on a little “test run”, using only water. That way, you can familiarize yourself with the new  kuhn rikon pressure cookers so that you will be more comfortable using them the first time.

Test to see how long Kuhn Rikon duromatic pressure cooker takes to reach each pressure setting.

Also, test to find the lowest temperature you can cook at and still maintain a constant pressure for the number of minutes your food will need to cook. I was glad I decided to do a test run before I used my new cookers the first time.

After 4 or 5 attempts to bring the duromatic khun rikon pressure cooker up to pressure on my test run without success, I finally discovered that there is a little screw in the pressure lid that has to be tightened. Once I tightened that screw, the duromatic khun rikon pressure cooker came up to pressure immediately, and I have had no problems since.

I would highly recommend the Kuhn Rikon duromatic pressure cooker. But the 2L frypan is rather small. If there are more than 2 people in your family, or you have really hearty appetites, you would probably be happier with one of the larger pressure cookers.

Wonderful zojirushi bbccx20 bread machine

I finally purchased this zojirushi bbccx20 bread machine after trying two other models; the Breadman TR555 and 2200C. My parents have had thier Zojirushi S-15 for almost 10 years with no problems and flawless bread. Desiring to enter the  zojirushi bread machine market with limited funds, I decided to try the Breadman TR555. It consistently burned the bread and revealed a “tougher” center.

The 2200C was the biggest disappointment of all. Seeing all of the reviews for this zojirushi bbccx20 as comparable to the ZO X20, I found myself with the ONLY two loaves of bread that were simply “duds” (did not rise properly and crust settings were useless) I had ever had out of a  zojirushi bread machine.

Finally, I decided that zojirushi bbccx20 bread machine could simply NOT be topped. I was right. This zojirushi bbccx20 bread machine has worked wonderfully and reminds me of my parents machine from the early 90’s. Mixing is complete and the Preheat function is an absolute MUST for proper ingredient preparation and yeast activity.

I have noticed that some have been critical of the pan and it’s non-stick surface. They also claim that the pan warps. Here is a little  zojirushi bread machine advice: follow the directions for proper care! The new pan has the same non-stick coating that was used in my parents S-15 (1993)!

It has not shown one defect in more than 10 years and hundreds of loaves. Do not use metal objects in the pan. This will prevent this kind of damage. Also, the directions clearly state to let the pan cool before soaking in water this zojirushi bbccx20 bread machine prevents the pan from warping, and (as mentioned before) has worked on the S-10 for over a decade. The new X20’s pan is the same material (metal and coating) as the old 90’s ZO models.

It is simply in a different shape (horizontal). There is no defect with these pans… if you care for it as directed (and it’s really only common sense) it will last for years.

We have had this zojirushi bbccx20 bread machine for about 9 week now and have made about 25 loaves of bread. We have made whole wheat, Rye, White, and several others. It cannot be compared to our old bread machine.

The two paddle system works great and the low profile of the paddles makes for very small impression in the bread. We use the medium crust setting for most of our breads it makes for a nice even crust something our old bread machine struggled with.

The other great feature is the horizontal loaf vs. vertical not only does it look more traditional but it cuts more easily as well.

The cookbook included has a wide variety of recipes however we have to add 1/4 cup of water to each to make the perfect loaf.

This zojirushi bbccx20 bread machine is simple to use and seems very well made. Two things I feel could be improved the paddles do not snap into place and if you don’t push them all the way down they wont work correctly. Some kind of physical feedback that they are properly seated would be great.

Also an option to stop the zojirushi bbccx20 when it comes time to add fruits and nuts. If you are considering this machine you will not regret it we use it almost daily now.

How to Rival Crock Pot Programmable Work.

A complete rival crock pot programmable, fat-free meal can easily be prepared in this programmable slow cooker . The nonstick removable inner pot produces up to 6 cups of cooked rice, while the steaming basket holds enough vegetables or shrimp for one or two hungry people.

• Simple to operate, the rival crock pot programmable features just one switch and two settings, cook and keep warm. During cooking, a red light is illuminated; when cooking is complete, the switch automatically reverts to the keep-warm setting and a yellow light comes on.
• Moisture and nutrients are sent back into the  rival crock pot programmable by the domed glass lid, which also allows for easy viewing.
• After cooking, the rice should be allowed to sit for about five to seven minutes before removing the lid. Accessories include a measuring cup and a plastic rice paddle for stirring and serving the rice.
• Our rival crock pot programmable gets used so much that when we saw an identical cooker at a yard sale we were walking by two summers ago we snatched that one up too.
• Between the two of them we use them at least 5 times a week. We are careful to use only silicone or wood to remove the food from the nonstick bowl and wash them with a scratch less scrubber and the insides are just fine after two years for the one and three for the other.
• Others have commented on dry rice. I had this programmable slow cooker with an older cooker, and I think it is a defect in the cooker a lemon cooker as it were and not a comment on the brand or

• I know there is a thermometer part on rival crock pot programmable that sometimes goes out and it makes sense to me that the cooker would cook “hot” as that part is going.
• Another thing to watch is your measurements. We lost the little measuring cup early on, but have discovered that the rice cooks up just fine if you measure the rice or other grain as a dry measure and then add twice as much water using wet measure.
• The other grain part up there is why our  programmable slow cooker get used so often. They do oats that I prefer the texture of groats to rolled oatmeal, cracked wheat, quinoa, rye, barley, polenta, all kinds of rice, and any combination of the above. If it cooks in 20 minutes to half an hour on the stove, try it in a rival crock pot programmable.

This Zojirushi rice cooker makes the best rice we have ever had - at least since our travels to Southeast Asia. And despite the fact that this Zojirushi rice cooker *seems* smarter than it’s user, it is remarkably simple to operate.

How to use this Zojirushi rice cooker.

This space age looking rice cooker is a little pricey, so it may be overkill for some - but I love all the features this offers and consider it well worth the price (which is a hundred less than what it is offered for here at Amazon). We eat a lot of brown rice, which is not something that other rice cooker handle well.

This Zojirushi rice cooker has a setting for brown rice, and cooks it to perfection. Also has a setting for semi-brown rice, sushi rice, porridge & more.

You get to pick how soft or hard you want the rice to turn out by using the control panel. Being able to set a timer for having rice ready when we get home from work is handy.

This Zojirushi rice cooker thing also cooks complete meals - definitely get a good cookbook for rice cooker cooking We are expirimenting with many varieties of rice that I normally would have shyed away from, since I could not seem to cook even plain old brown rice properly until now.

Zojirushi rice cooker took me 6 months to decide to buy this thing. We were originally contemplating the MYC10 series, but the specific settings for brown rice became important to us.

And this Zojirushi rice cooker takes up less space on the countertop than the MYC10. We will be eating rice nearly every day now thanks to this Zojirushi rice cooker ! I am definitely glad we chose the ZAC10, and would recommend this  rice cooker . It’s a keeper!

How to Make Rice Perfectly with west blend slow cooker.

• Gather all your ingredients here’s my rice getting washed see the strainer or your slow cookers? if you’ve read my veggie broth article, you’ve seen my strainer before Measure rice into west bend slow cooker.

• Run under cold water and rinse until the water runs clear, stirring with your fingers and picking out any dark bits. If you prefer, you can put the rice into a bowl, add water, swish with your fingers, drain, and repeat until the water is no longer cloudy.
• This step is totally optional and I NEVER do it, but some people really like it this way: Melt 1 Tbl. butter in your saucepan.
• Add rice and stir until rice is all coated in butter and is shiny. Add a pinch of salt if you desire (I NEVER desire salty rice, but I’m funny like that, some people never leave it out.See the bubbles? There it is, boiling away.

• Add water and bring to a boil over high heat. Boil one minute, stirring a few times.
  
  Here’s my timer, counting down from 17 minutes

• See my cute rice paddle? It’s colorful. I have matching individual spoons, too.
  Lower heat to low, cover the pot with the lid and set the timer for 17 minutes. Do NOT take the top off the slow cookers.

• After 17 minutes, turn the stove off and take the pan off the burner. Let sit for 5 minutes before removing the lid. “Fluff” (kinda scrape, toss, stir, break-up lumps of) rice with a fork or spoon. I have a neat rice paddle that I use, but use what you have. Your rice is now ready!

• Which is what one of my concerns were when I purchased the crock pot slow cooker pan set on Overstock & paid twenty dollars more than they are listed here. Still I like the way food cooks evenly.
• All of the glass lids fit snugly. The crock pot slow cooker pan that is used for “frying” which I don’t do much of does show heat discoloration inside bottom of it after my husband fried strips of chicken.
• The other crock pot slow cooker pans have no discoloration even though I have boiled water (to cook rice)(which turned out perfect & didn’t stick)& it looks like new. Clean up is easy. No need to scrub.
• I bought the crock pot slow cooker pan set about four months ago & so far I am pleased with the the look, the feel, the durability & something I totally unexpected is that the stainless steel handles stay cool to the touch!
• The glass lids have a small hole in them for the steam escape route which is perfect. The handle of the lids also stay cool.
• I grew up cooking with cast iron & stainless steel only. As an adult, I too fell for the “silverstone” cookware. T-FAL was some of the worst silverstone cookware I ever had the displeasure of cooking with.
• A gift from my dear Dad, I never told him he was convinced it was great cookware and now of course we are told it’s unhealthy to cook with silver stone. I threw it all out & decided to go back to all stainless steel & cast iron.
• I will continue to revamp all of my kitchen wares & gadgets with stainless steel for durability, longevity, & oh yes…I think it is good looking.
