    Panasonic rice cooker3
This product does everything it says it can do but there are 2 problems: 1) It spits rice water out around the edges of the top, making a gooey mess around the lip of the pot and on the countertop; 2) I wish designers of this sort of thing would put some creative energy into clever ways to stow the cord and plug for storage. In this case, the cord is always flapping around on the shelf.

    Make perfect rice every time!4
Just put in the rice and the water, put the lid on, click the on button, and you will have perfect rice. It is a great convenience. I am glad my friend told me that she got one. This helps in meal preparation so much.

Not all cooker slow models are created equal, I guess rival cooker5
It is understandable that some of the reviewers are upset with their Rival Crock-Pots, and I wouldn’t have a way of knowing if their claims are true or false. Unfortunately, this thread of reviews seems to lump together all sorts of different Rival models, with differing sizes and features. My review is for model number 5855C. I have used it and I have absolutely no problems with it. It has not “cracked”; it does not boil the food. To be honest, it does exactly what I would expect from a chicken crock pot: It cooks efficiently, with the added benefit of having a programmable digital timer. I did not pay upwards of 100 bucks for this, either. I found it, brand-new, in the box, at Tuesday Morning for $25. One thing to consider is that larger Crock-Pots are meant to be used when cooking larger meals. Makes sense, right?
