Really enjoying with Pressure cooker!
I don’t know when I’ve ever been so confused about picking out a product – it seemed as if there were always awful reviews and warnings among all the wonderful ones about each and every model of slow cooker all clad. But Cook’s Illustrated had been so emphatic in their recommendation, that I finally threw caution to the wind and got the Stainless Clad with the ceramic cooker insert (mine, from Williams-Sonoma, has the white insert, and I’d assume it’s pretty much the same). I’ve been really pleased. It has none of the problems I’ve read about here, and I’ve been enjoying really wonderful meals from it, most from the Cook’s Illustrated book, The Best Slow & Easy Recipes and the Williams-Sonoma book. I love that I don’t need to worry about anything overheating and scorching on the bottom the way I did with the last cooker slow I used years ago. It’s so pleasant to start it up and be able to come back hours later and find the meal gently cooking and doing just fine without any fuss or attention. I made bolognese sauce and it was divine, but the other day I started my regular spaghetti sauce recipe in another pot and decided to put it in the Stainless Clad cooker slow for the day – and it was better than ever. One warning – when I bought mine, I made sure I got one with an intact box that didn’t have any dents in it, because I figured that one that had been banged around in shipping may have had some jarring to the electronic parts.
