Great for cooking soups, noodles, vegetables, and much more. The Rival Pot boils water up to 60% faster than a microwave and it’s easy to clean non-stick cooking surface.

Great buy
This the rival pot heats up very fast and is a very easy way to heat up water for tea without having to turn on the stove. I also take it with me when traveling. I like the fact that it has several settings for temperature so I can choose to use a lower temperature. The only thing that might be a little problem is that the lid was a little hard to open. Sometimes you have to give it a hard pull and you have to be careful if you are opening it with a hot liquid inside like if you are heating soup or stew and want to stir it before you remove it from the pot. Overall, it’s worth the price and a good deal for those who want something simple.
Great little device to have at work,
At my workplace we have no hot water dispenser. Before this, I was resorting to microwaving a mug of hot water. I was recommended this device as a tool for shaving, but I found that it got the water a little too hot for my shaving needs. I took it into work and have been loving the thing ever since. In the time it takes me to clean a spoon in the sink and get yogurt out of the fridge, the water is hot enough for tea. The exterior stays quite cool and can be picked up and touched immediately even when the water inside is scalding hot. I’ve even boiled milk, water, and black tea together in this unit without problems. Cleans quite easily.
Works great for food too,
I purchased this hot pot for heating soup in the office. However I ended up using it the first time to warm up leftover stir fry and rice. In less than 5 minutes, after stirring once, it was ready (and this was on the lowest setting). After unplugging the hot pot, I let it sit for a minute to allow the steam to continue to heat the food. The stir fry was warmed throughout. I am very satisfied and can hardly wait to test it out with soup tomorrow. I also found the lid to be difficult to open, as another review pointed out, but I can live with that.
