    Should have read the Pressure cooker Reviews and slow cooker reviews.The slow cooker 6 quart Works great, easy to clean. A bit heavy, but solidly built. For the price this slow cooker programmable cannot be beat. It’s slow cooker best.

    Removable 4-quart oval stoneware crock doubles as serving dish. I have been using slow-cookers since college days in the 70’s, and frankly, I don’t think I could feed my family of 4 without my slow cookers (1.5, 4, 6 qt), my Kitchen Aid Toaster Oven, and Wusthof knives. This Hamilton Beach is the one I use the most. I have given this model as gifts and everyone comments how 4 Qts seem to be the perfect size. When I want to freeze meals I use the 6 Qt. For porridge and small amounts of food I use the 1.5 Qt. Noticed comment that it “gets hot on the outside”. Yes, ALL slow cookers get hot “all over”, even on the low setting. Be sure to put your slow cooker on a surface that can withstand the heat- granite, stainless, or even an earthenware tile from the flooring supply store, as the heat may damage your counter top. The most important thing to remember when using any slow cooker is to make sure the crock is AT LEAST half full, otherwise your food will cook too fast and may burn. Do not fill to the rim as it WILL boil over. Enjoy this great time saver, and the wonderful aroma of warm food when you come home to a prepared dinner - it’s like having a maid who cooked for you all day.

    Should read the slow cooker reviews.I really like hamilton slow cooker. I love having dinner waiting for me when I get home from work or on a busy day. I saw the Hamilton Beach Stay or Go Slow Cooker advertised on TV over the holidays and went online and ordered one for myself. I have a smaller cooker slow that I have used for years. I love the size of the new cooker slow and it works so well. Now I can take my meals to pot lucks and family gatherings, too. Thank you for a great crock pots slow cookers.

    This hamilton beach slow cooker is the very best, with crock pot in multiple sizes and heat settings that range between high and warm. The heat source is extremely reliable and calibrated for typical slow cooker recipes. As mentioned by hamilton beach slow cooker reviews, it is a fairly large unit, but the big handles make manipulation easy and safe and it is worth the trade-off.I have had a number of slow cookers over the years ranging from the most basic of 1970’s era Crock Pots” to expensive and high end hamilton slow cooker, and this crock pots slow cookers is my hands-down favorite and slow cooker best.

    GREAT hamilton beach crock pots!!!
    The person who thought up the idea of three different size cooking bowls for this slow cooker should get a gold star. There are things I love, like soups and stews that my husband won’t touch. Now I don’t have to make a bathtub full of stuff and wind up throwing some out or feeding my neighbors. (I know I could just fill my other cooker half full but it didn’t always work well.) Anyway, great idea and great product!

    I had a smart pot from Crock Pot before I bought this. The Smart Pot would burn everything after 2 hours even on low (I contacted their service dept, and they just said - yah,it gets pretty hot). So I thought forget that, I’m getting something else. This has been wonderful! It hasn’t burned anything yet. I love that I can change the pots around for what size I am cooking. The only thing that isn’t my favorite is the colors.

    great slow cooker5
    This is a great slow cooker. I love the fact that it is programmable, and especially the fact that it has a probe for cooking meat.
    I have used this to cook a whole chicken and a pork roast with the probe.
    Wonderfully moist meat. Of course, it won’t brown the chicken, but since I take the skin off anyway, it does not matter. I have also cooked swiss steak. Yum.
    Again, 5 stars.
