Caucasian making perfect Rice? YUP!
If you ever have the chance to go in to the home of an Asian family you see a rice cooker where the toaster generally sits. I love brown rice, and making it on the stove in a pot worked, but I didn’t get the results I desired. This machine is so simple and if you have a busy schedule the timer function insures the rice will be done when you want it. Make sure you wash out the iside of the machine thoroughly before using or your rice will take on a plastic smell. It goes away with use. I use the rice and water rations that are on the rice package and each time it comes out perfect. Steel cut oats are also a no brainer for the Sanyo ECJ-PX50S.

This is an amazing product from sanyo, I kinda hesitated before I bought it wanting to buy another well know brand instead, I have no regrets a few weeks into using this rice cooker.Its very well constructed , chances of damaging the heating element are kinda slim.I have tried it on rice and other foods and its been a joy have.
