How great the rice is when cooked in this zojirushi rice cooker

Zojirushi 10 cup rice cooker has advanced Neuro Fuzzy logic technology and a spherical pan and heating system. This  zojirushi 10 cup rice cooker prepares perfect rice every time.

What a Truly Excellent zojirushi rice cooker !

Really thought long and hard before spending the money for this zojirushi rice cooker , but we are SO-O-O glad we did! We’ve had it for a few weeks, used it usually twice a day, trying almost every function and several types of rice and steel-cut oats.

Perfect results every time! The only negatives we can think of are, the directions that came with it are less than clear (wish they had included more recipes, too) and we’re not too keen on the idea of the soldered in battery going dead long before the unit does.

However, we would buy this zojirushi rice cooker exact same model again without question! This is so easy to use , produces perfect results (even if you’re not quite sure what you’re doing) and couldn’t be easier to clean. Every part and feature is so exceptionally well designed, with the exception of the above mentioned battery dilemma.

Don’t hesitate, we waited too long! Worth every penny! Will update in the future, if needed. UPDATE: Several months later, no problems, use this almost daily and STILL love this zojirushi rice cooker .

For those who can’t figure it out–Pushing the reset button turns this zojirushi rice cooker off. Took us a little while to figure this out, as directions in book are somewhat unclear. Hope this helps!

I love this zojirushi rice cooker . I have used it to make small and large batches of rice. Every batch comes out perfect; every single grain is cooked perfectly.

When the rice is done the  zojirushi 10 cup rice cooker goes into warming mode, which keeps your rice perfect and ready to serve for up to 12 hours. It has settings for white rice, brown rice, sushi rice, and others.

Don’t waste your money on cheep cookers or microwave cookers, those don’t come close to the quality of the  zojirushi 10 cup rice cooker . I could continue to say how great the rice is when cooked in this zojirushi rice cooker but really you won’t know until you try it.

It’s worth every penny. My only warning about this zojirushi rice cooker is that it is cute. It looks cute and makes cute chime melodies when it starts cooking and when it is done I also recommend you protect your  zojirushi 10 cup rice cooker with a serge protector.

How to Rival Crock Pot Programmable Work.

A complete rival crock pot programmable, fat-free meal can easily be prepared in this programmable slow cooker . The nonstick removable inner pot produces up to 6 cups of cooked rice, while the steaming basket holds enough vegetables or shrimp for one or two hungry people.

• Simple to operate, the rival crock pot programmable features just one switch and two settings, cook and keep warm. During cooking, a red light is illuminated; when cooking is complete, the switch automatically reverts to the keep-warm setting and a yellow light comes on.
• Moisture and nutrients are sent back into the  rival crock pot programmable by the domed glass lid, which also allows for easy viewing.
• After cooking, the rice should be allowed to sit for about five to seven minutes before removing the lid. Accessories include a measuring cup and a plastic rice paddle for stirring and serving the rice.
• Our rival crock pot programmable gets used so much that when we saw an identical cooker at a yard sale we were walking by two summers ago we snatched that one up too.
• Between the two of them we use them at least 5 times a week. We are careful to use only silicone or wood to remove the food from the nonstick bowl and wash them with a scratch less scrubber and the insides are just fine after two years for the one and three for the other.
• Others have commented on dry rice. I had this programmable slow cooker with an older cooker, and I think it is a defect in the cooker a lemon cooker as it were and not a comment on the brand or

• I know there is a thermometer part on rival crock pot programmable that sometimes goes out and it makes sense to me that the cooker would cook “hot” as that part is going.
• Another thing to watch is your measurements. We lost the little measuring cup early on, but have discovered that the rice cooks up just fine if you measure the rice or other grain as a dry measure and then add twice as much water using wet measure.
• The other grain part up there is why our  programmable slow cooker get used so often. They do oats that I prefer the texture of groats to rolled oatmeal, cracked wheat, quinoa, rye, barley, polenta, all kinds of rice, and any combination of the above. If it cooks in 20 minutes to half an hour on the stove, try it in a rival crock pot programmable.

This Zojirushi rice cooker makes the best rice we have ever had - at least since our travels to Southeast Asia. And despite the fact that this Zojirushi rice cooker *seems* smarter than it’s user, it is remarkably simple to operate.

How to use this Zojirushi rice cooker.

This space age looking rice cooker is a little pricey, so it may be overkill for some - but I love all the features this offers and consider it well worth the price (which is a hundred less than what it is offered for here at Amazon). We eat a lot of brown rice, which is not something that other rice cooker handle well.

This Zojirushi rice cooker has a setting for brown rice, and cooks it to perfection. Also has a setting for semi-brown rice, sushi rice, porridge & more.

You get to pick how soft or hard you want the rice to turn out by using the control panel. Being able to set a timer for having rice ready when we get home from work is handy.

This Zojirushi rice cooker thing also cooks complete meals - definitely get a good cookbook for rice cooker cooking We are expirimenting with many varieties of rice that I normally would have shyed away from, since I could not seem to cook even plain old brown rice properly until now.

Zojirushi rice cooker took me 6 months to decide to buy this thing. We were originally contemplating the MYC10 series, but the specific settings for brown rice became important to us.

And this Zojirushi rice cooker takes up less space on the countertop than the MYC10. We will be eating rice nearly every day now thanks to this Zojirushi rice cooker ! I am definitely glad we chose the ZAC10, and would recommend this  rice cooker . It’s a keeper!

How to Make Rice Perfectly with west blend slow cooker.

• Gather all your ingredients here’s my rice getting washed see the strainer or your slow cookers? if you’ve read my veggie broth article, you’ve seen my strainer before Measure rice into west bend slow cooker.

• Run under cold water and rinse until the water runs clear, stirring with your fingers and picking out any dark bits. If you prefer, you can put the rice into a bowl, add water, swish with your fingers, drain, and repeat until the water is no longer cloudy.
• This step is totally optional and I NEVER do it, but some people really like it this way: Melt 1 Tbl. butter in your saucepan.
• Add rice and stir until rice is all coated in butter and is shiny. Add a pinch of salt if you desire (I NEVER desire salty rice, but I’m funny like that, some people never leave it out.See the bubbles? There it is, boiling away.

• Add water and bring to a boil over high heat. Boil one minute, stirring a few times.
  
  Here’s my timer, counting down from 17 minutes

• See my cute rice paddle? It’s colorful. I have matching individual spoons, too.
  Lower heat to low, cover the pot with the lid and set the timer for 17 minutes. Do NOT take the top off the slow cookers.

• After 17 minutes, turn the stove off and take the pan off the burner. Let sit for 5 minutes before removing the lid. “Fluff” (kinda scrape, toss, stir, break-up lumps of) rice with a fork or spoon. I have a neat rice paddle that I use, but use what you have. Your rice is now ready!

• Which is what one of my concerns were when I purchased the crock pot slow cooker pan set on Overstock & paid twenty dollars more than they are listed here. Still I like the way food cooks evenly.
• All of the glass lids fit snugly. The crock pot slow cooker pan that is used for “frying” which I don’t do much of does show heat discoloration inside bottom of it after my husband fried strips of chicken.
• The other crock pot slow cooker pans have no discoloration even though I have boiled water (to cook rice)(which turned out perfect & didn’t stick)& it looks like new. Clean up is easy. No need to scrub.
• I bought the crock pot slow cooker pan set about four months ago & so far I am pleased with the the look, the feel, the durability & something I totally unexpected is that the stainless steel handles stay cool to the touch!
• The glass lids have a small hole in them for the steam escape route which is perfect. The handle of the lids also stay cool.
• I grew up cooking with cast iron & stainless steel only. As an adult, I too fell for the “silverstone” cookware. T-FAL was some of the worst silverstone cookware I ever had the displeasure of cooking with.
• A gift from my dear Dad, I never told him he was convinced it was great cookware and now of course we are told it’s unhealthy to cook with silver stone. I threw it all out & decided to go back to all stainless steel & cast iron.
• I will continue to revamp all of my kitchen wares & gadgets with stainless steel for durability, longevity, & oh yes…I think it is good looking.

How to Make Fried Rice Fast with West Bend Slow Cooker.

Crack open 2 eggs into a bowl and beat them until the yoke and whites are mixed evenly. Add a pinch of salt and pepper into the mixture.Heat up the pan on high heat and add 1 tablespoon of oil (veggie, canola, olive, any is fine).

Poor egg mixture in and when it’s firm, break it up into bite-size pieces using a spatula. Add chopped scallions into pan.Add any of the optional ingredients and anything else you’d like. Fried rice is a very flexible meal. Just make sure whatever you add is cut into bite-sized pieces.

Add rice (brown or white). Add some more salt and pepper. Add a tablespoon of soy sauce. Turn heat down to medium and break up any big pieces of rice stuck together.Once rice is added, cook for 3-5 minutes. Wait 5 minutes for food to cool down to serve.

This West Bend programmable bread machine not only works, it excels at what it does and has yet to fail me. Out of 40 or 50 loaves, I’ve not had a failure which is more than I can say for some other brands I’ve owned.

My last West Bend programmable bread machine made more hockey pucks than loaves so this West Bend has been a very pleasant, and tasty experience.

Up until I dropped the bread pan, all I had to do was invert the pan to have the loaf drop out when finished. The loaves still come out easily but now the paddle sticks to the inside of the loaf. I can’t blame this on the West Bend programmable bread machine since I was the one who dropped and bent the pan. I’ll be ordering a new pan in short order.

The West Bend programmable bread machine not only bakes excellent loaves of bread, it has a very attractive brushed stainless and black finish which goes beautifully with all the stainless appliances in my kitchen. Instead of hiding it away when not in use, I keep it on the counter top all of the time which encourages me to use it often.

West Bend Slow cooker provide an easy, hands-off option for preparing meals. They roast meats, vegetables and other foods inside a covered cooking pot over a period of several hours. The lid keeps in moisture, allowing foods to simmer and become especially flavorful.

West Bend Slow cooker consist of an electric heating base with adjustable temperature and a separate ceramic pot, which can be removed for serving, cleaning, or storing in the fridge. The 5-quart slow cookers oblong model has temperature settings from 1 to 5. The 6-quart oval slow cookers model has settings of warm, low, medium and high

Use setting 1 only to warm rolls and muffins. At 140 degrees Fahrenheit, this setting should not be used for cooking.

Use setting 2 to keep cooked foods warm until they’re ready to be served.

Use settings 3, 4 and 5 (low, medium high) for cooking. The setting you choose determines the length of time the food will cook.
